• It's very difficult to abstain from moderation but it's important to be clear about which of these things are actual safety concerns and which ones are a matter of preference in terms of how people want information flagged.
• Recently, Meta introduced something that allows people to have fact checking not affect the distribution of what shows them their products.
• People don't trust who the fact checkers are, so they can turn that off if they want, but if the content violates some policy like inciting violence, it's still not going to be allowed.
• It's really hard to know where to draw the line on what is fact and what is opinion because the nature of science is that nothing is ever a hundred percent known for certain.
• Zuckerberg believes that just because it's very hard and just because their edge cases don't mean that you should not try to give people what they're looking for as well.

Pressure from Different Sources

• On the other hand, if there's a government that's not democratically elected or if there's a government that's not in line with the majority of people around the world, then they will try to work with that government to find a solution that works for everyone.
• Zuckerberg believes that it's important to have a balance between allowing people to express as much as possible and building tools to try to moderate things that are wrong that they don't want on their services.
